My Approach

My approach to therapy is to treat each person as an individual. Even though life situations are sometimes similar, each of us reacts and responds uniquely. I believe a positive connection between therapist and client is one of the most important elements of the counseling relationship.

In my years of clinical experience, I have been fortunate to learn compassion, empathy, patience, humility and the ability to truly listen.  Asking for help is hard, so when you do, it is important to find yourself in the safe, comfortable and honest place.  Being ready to bridge the gap between your current approach, and learning new ways of being in the world, takes courage.

We will work together to find the best tools, strategies, and interventions for you to make changes in your life.  I provide a supportive and collaborative environment where you can be yourself, judgment-free.

During our sessions, we will explore ways to move forward by replacing what isn’t working with new, effective approaches that uniquely fit you and your life’s situations. Together, we will balance self-exploration and growth with the more immediate goal of timely relief.
